The Prep Rally Poll is an extension our annual “Spring Games” presented
by IKEA Centennial, a fun-filled day of friendly competition where
winning schools take home cash for their athletic and activities programs.
The Prep Rally Poll involves more schools - every school across the entire
state - and provides a great way to upgrade any room or facility in any
school. Once again, we’re grateful to our partners at IKEA for making

Open Gym/Workouts will begin next week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from
3:30 - 5:30 in the Aux Gym. Anyone who is interested in playing basketball this
year, and is not participating in a Fall Sport, and is highly encouraged to attend
these sessions. We are also looking for Managers this season, thus anyone who
would be interested in being a Boys Basketball Manager, please come see me on
Tuesdays or Thursdays at Open Gym or leave a note in my mailbox in the front office.
Colorado Blue Spruce Young Adult Reading Contest. It is a competition against
our school and the middle school. Please visit the LMC for more details and
look at this years book selection. Contest ends Dec. 15th.
"Students, are you interested in seeing the world? If so, start with
seeing Paris and London in June of 2018. During this trip you will
have the opportunity to go to the top of the Eiffel Tower, tour Notre Dame
Cathedral, the Louvre (most famous art museum in the world), London
Tower. See a theater performance in London and visit Buckingham Palace,
and so much more. If this sounds exciting to you please come to the
meeting on Tuesday, November 1st in Mr. Quinn's room 310 at 6:30 pm--
be sure to bring your parents or guardians. If you are interested in going
on the trip but are not able to make it to the but are interested in going

Daily WCHS Announcements:
The activity bus will leave after school at 4:45 PM. Students wishing to ride
the bus must sign up in the front office by 1:00 PM on the day they will ride.
If they don't sign up,they can't ride. Limited seating, first come first serve
StuCo will sponsor a Halloween costume dress up day on Monday,
October 31st. Please be school appropriate in your dress up. Absolutely
NO face paint or clown costumes will be allowed.
On Thursday, October 27, all FCCLA members will be carving and delivering
pumpkins to residents in Gray Cara, and to honored Seniors in the Keenesburg
community. Please bring a bag of candy that is not too chewy so that we can
create "Treat" bags no later than Thursday morning. We will be carving them
right after school on Thursday afternoon, or during latter part of day. If you are
able to scoop them out over lunch hour, etc.please do so. Please let
Mrs. Owens know if you need a ride to Keenesburg. You need to have your
WCHS paperwork and school dues turned in to Tracie Sack in order to
participate in this event.
We have a required Chapter meeting this Wednesday at 6pm in
room 200C. We will be going over Competitive Events and the Craft Fair.
Snacks will be provided! See you there!

Aims CC will be coming Monthly to meet with students.
You need to be signed up to be able to attend - Come sign up in the counseling office.
Students who are interested in playing sports in college need to sign up
and look at their transcripts to insure that they meet the NCAA requirements.
Please sign up to meet with Ms. Kiel in the counseling office. The NCAA meeting
will be as a group on October 4th.
