Don't forget to vote for Homecoming King and Queen.  Everyone is eligible to vote.  Vote online or text in your vote.  Learn how by watching the video at vimeo.com/106122897 or getting help from a Student Council member.  Mrs. Cook will be at the school Monday, Tuesday and Friday if you have questions on how to vote.

Buy your Homecoming dance tickets early and save!  You can buy from Tracie (front office), Mrs. Amen (in library) or Mrs. Devoe (Rm. 309).Prices are $10 single, or $15 couple.  At the door prices increase to $15 for single or $20 for a couple.  You must be eligible to attend.  If you are buying tickets for a couple, it is your responsibility to make sure that both people are eligible.  No refunds will be given.

The Homecoming carnival will be after lunch this Friday.  There will be games and other activities to participate in as well as food to purchase.  Don't forget your money if you'd like to purchase anything however; there will be lots to do for free also!

COACH HAMPTON - CROSS COUNTRY:
 No Meet On Friday, Mireidy Estrada, Tabor Kalcevic, Emily Shaffer, Sydney Baumgartner, and Ashley Perez all ran season best times as they placed 18th out of 26 girls teams at the Fort Morgan Invitational. Donovan Gonzales broke 20 minutes for the first time. Jen Peace and Tito Melendez ran Personal Records. Please support and encourage the cross country team as they endure challenging training in preparation for the end of season championship meets.

COACH SMIALEK:
Girls basketball open gyms/work outs are Monday @2:00-3:30 and Thursdays @3:30-5:00pm in aux gym/weight room. 
Start date Monday Sept 8th.

COACH METTLER - BOYS BASKETBALL:
BOYS BASKETBALL open gyms / work out are Monday @ 2:00 - 3:30pm starting 9/22/14.

MRS. CHESTNUT:
It’s not too late to join the Technology Student Association!  There will be an informational meeting for all new and current members on Monday, September 22 during your lunch in Mrs. Chestnut’s room.  Bring your lunch to the meeting.  We will be discussing the upcoming Leadership Conference.

MRS. OWENS:
FCCLA Members: We need your help on finishing our sign for Friday, and will have one more work night on Thursday after school.  Also, please bring 2-3 batches of some baked good item for the bake sale that we are planning at the carnival on Friday. An item might be classified as a dozen cookies, cupcakes, brownies, cinnamon rolls, etc. We can apply the money that you make from your baked items to the upcoming district conference on October 20. Also, there is an important FCCLA meeting on Thursday morning at 7:45. Please be there!

MRS. P. AMEN:
The Colorado Blue Spruce Reading Award starts today, Sept. 16th. It will run till December 16th.. Last year the high school beat the middle school. Please stop in and check out this year’s book nominees. Help the high school win again by reading/ voting for your favorite books. Thank you for your support.

MRS. S. AMEN:
National Honor Society will be selling beads this week for Wednesday Class Color Day and Friday Rebel Day. Class color beads are 50 cents per strand and red, white, and blue beads for Friday are $1.00 for 3 strands.

MRS. STEMO:
Any junior interested in taking the PSAT October 15, please sign up in the counseling office.  Cost is $14. You need to take this test to be considered for the National Merit Scholarship Corporation Programs.

MRS. CHESTNUT:
Seniors:  Your senior pictures for the yearbook are due to Mrs. Chestnut by October 1st!  If you haven’t scheduled your appointment with a photographer yet, do it now!  The yearbook needs 2 pictures of you.  One should be a close-up and the other can be a pose of your choice.  Get your photos to Mrs. Chestnut as soon as possible!

MRS. PIOTRASCHKE:
FBLA will be meeting every week in room 202 on Wednesday mornings at 7:55am this year.  If you’re interested in joining, it’s not too late!  See Mrs. Piotraschke in room 202 to sign up or ask for more information. (9/25)

WCHS Students / Parents:
All fees must be paid at the beginning of each semester or your student will not be able to participate in any extra-curricular activities, practice/play sports, attend Homecoming dance / Prom, receive official transcripts and diplomas until all fees are paid.
